Her public-sector experience includes serving from 2000 to 2006 as Financial Affairs Manager (Civil Servant) at the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources for the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline Project. Responsible for financial affairs, budgeting, reporting and control for the Turkish section of this major intergovernmental energy-infrastructure programme, she served as a first-degree financial signatory within a project envelope of approximately USD 1.5–1.9 billion.
